يعرف عنه اأنه يتواجد بشكل كبير في البحار الدافئة قريبا من السواحل والانهار التي تصب بها , ويحب المياه الضحلة بشكل عام ولذلك فهو خطير جدا على الانسان ,وبشكل عام لايمكن توقع التصرفات التي يقوم بها،
يتغذى على الدلافين والاسماك والطيور والسلاحف والقروش الاصغر حتى من نفس جنسه .
مدة الحمل 12 شهرا -وتلد الانثى بين 4-10 قروش يكون طول الصغير حوالي 80 سم.
يبلغ القرش خلال 10 أعوام.
لايشكل خطر عليه سوى الانسان والقروش الاكبر منه سواء من جنسه أو أنواع أخرى من الفروش كقرش النمر والقرش الابيض الكبير.
